The draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League has been made in Nyon.
Premier League leaders Manchester City have been drawn against English rivals Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Liverpool and City are England’s last remaining representatives after Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham crashed out in the round of 16.
City secured their place in the last eight by beating Basel, having won the away leg 4-0, but then lost 2-1 at home in the second leg.
Liverpool saw off Porto in the round of 16, which also saw an impressive away performance with a 5-0 victory at the Estadio do Dragao ahead of a routine goalless draw at Anfield.

Ligue 1: PSG coach, Emery speaks on penalty fight between Cavani, Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain manager, Unai Emery, says he expects Edinson Cavani and Neymar, to reach an agreement over who takes penalties.
The two players fought over a spot-kick, during their 2-0 win over Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
Cavani and Neymar argued over the penalty in the 79th minute, with the Uruguayan eventually taking it, but he missed from 12 yards.
“The penalties are to be struck by a few players, one is Cavani and the other is Neymar,” Emery said.
“It takes a gentleman’s agreement on the ground to hit the penalties.
“Afterwards, we will arrange internally for the penalties that are coming in, because I think both are able to score them, and I want the two to alternate in this exercise.
“If there is no agreement, I will decide. I do not want it to be a problem for us.”

Real Madrid are set to sign Brazilian teenager Rodrigo Antonio Rodrigues, reports Marca.

The European champions have reached an agreement with the 17-year-old and his current club Gremio Novorizontino, who have given the playmaker permission to travel to the Spanish capital to undergo a medical and formalise his transfer.

The 17-year-old, who turns 18 in April, will not move to Madrid until next season.

When he does move to the Spanish capital, Rodrigo will link up his compatriots Augusto Galvan and Vinicius in the youth ranks of Real Madrid, representing the Castilla B team.

Los Blancos’ scouts spotted Rodrigo’s talent during an Under-17 Club World Cup tournament in the Spanish capital, where the youngster participated after reaching a month-long loan deal with Palmeiras.

Super Eagles and Chelsea FC star, Victor Moses has dismissed suggestions he picks and chooses the games he plays for Nigeria, insisting he always wants to be fit before appearing for his country.

Moses, 26, made his Nigeria debut in 2012 when he changed his international allegiance after representing England at various age-grade levels.

He has since won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria and featured at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Moses played a key role in the draw and victory in back-to-back matches over Cameroon this month that moved Nigeria closer to qualification for next year’s World Cup in Russia.

But the Chelsea wing-back said he was disappointed by the insinuations that he does not always want to play for his country.

“Yes, everyone says that I select games. I have heard it myself,” he told Nigerian radio.

“But it is what it is. I never run away from challenges. I love to play football, why would I run away from playing football? That is what we are meant to do,” he said.

“But people keep saying that I choose games for Nigeria… But I need to clear the air now, that is not true.

“If I have got an injury, I have got an injury. Whenever I want to play for Nigeria, I must be 100 percent, I want to give everything. But if I have got an injury, I don’t want to force myself because I am going to look stupid on the pitch.”

British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua has confirmed he will defend his IBF, WBA and IBO belts in a heavyweight title fight against Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev.

This comes after Joshua missed out on a rematch to fight former Ukranian heavyweight, Wladimir Klitschko who announced his shocking retirement from boxing after losing his last fight to him.

The 27-year-old boxer who is undefeated in 19 fights confirmed on Instagram on Tuesday that the fight will take place in Cardiff on October 28.

‘Greetings fight fans, I hope you’re well,’ Joshua said on Instagram. ‘October 28, I will be defending my IBF, WBA and IBO heavyweight championship title of the world against Kubrat Pulev.

‘He’s game, ready and it’s been a long time coming. I can’t wait to get back in the ring.

‘I just want to say thanks for your support over the years. You know me, I can’t wait to get back in the ring and perform. I’ll do it for you – thank you.’

Anthony Joshua’s opponent Kubrat Pulev has held the European heavyweight title twice between 2012 and 2016 and has challenged once for the unified world heavyweight title in 2014, which he lost to Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg on a fifth-round knockout.

Conor McGregor looked better than expected, but ultimately couldn’t keep up with one of boxing’s greatest as Floyd Mayweather Jr. scored a 10th-round TKO victory when McGregor was unable to answer several huge shots to the head. Mayweather is now 50-0 as a professional.

The first round was slow for Mayweather, as expected. McGregor landed a very, very nice counter left uppercut in that opening round that did some damage to Mayweather. McGregor showed some surprisingly strong counters in the second and third rounds as well, and was also warned for hammer fists to the back of the head by the referee.

In the fourth, Mayweather started to bring things back. He started landing big time with right straights and McGregor started to slow down. Mayweather took over with some huge shots and combos in the sixth and seventh rounds, landing far more powerful strikes.

McGregor showed more life in the eighth round, landing some serious shots. It could have been his round, even, though Mayweather did land with the right straight plenty, and did some damage. In the ninth round, McGregor hurt Mayweather with an early body shot, but after recovering, Mayweather put together his most dominant round of the fight, peppering the tiring McGregor over and over with big shots.

In the 10th, Mayweather swarmed McGregor and the fight was stopped. Mayweather landed several unanswered shots and McGregor was stumbling around the ring, so it was a good stoppage.

The undercard for Saturday’s superfight was a good one. The opening bout between Andrew Tabiti and Steve Cunningham went the distance, and saw Tabiti fight his most seasoned opponent yet. The fight was probably closer than the judge’s scorecards indicated, but Tabiti walked away with a win and his record remains intact.

As expected, the light heavyweight contest between Badou Jack and Nathan Cleverly was a good one. It was fun, but one that Jack dominated after the first couple rounds, ultimately finishing Cleverly in the fifth round when the referee had seen enough unanswered punches.

The co-feature saw a very controversial ending to what was, up until that point, a very good fight. Undefeated junior lightweights Gervonta Davis and Francisco Fonseca combined for an exciting eight rounds, but the fight ended when Davis knocked down Fonseca with a shot that clearly was to the back of the head.

It was a fairly evenly matched bout, with Davis likely holding a lead on the scorecards but losing ground in the later rounds. When Davis connected with a huge punch to the back of the head, Fonseca went down, partially draped on Davis’ lower body. Davis then pushed him a second time, also in the back of the head, and the referee went through a 10-count. Fonseca couldn’t get up and Davis got the win, though because he didn’t make weight -- and apparently had a cold going into the fight -- he didn’t take the title, meaning the IBF Junior Lightweight title is now vacant.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. def. Conor McGregor via TKO in Round 10

Round 1: McGregor comes out swinging, landing two hooks to the body, but Mayweather is calm. McGregor throws several one-two punch combos, but Mayweather is staying out of the way. McGregor lands a nice left straight that sneaks through Mayweather’s guard. Mayweather comes forward with an overhand right but McGregor moves out of the way. McGregor starts to taunt Mayweather, who is nice and calm. Mayweather lands a quick jab to the body. McGregor comes forward with a big combo and Mayweather ducks under and out of the way. McGregor lands a big left uppercut as Mayweather comes in. The round comes to an end. It’s probably McGregor’s round, but this is Mayweather’s gameplan.

Round 2: McGregor comes out fast again, landing a jab to the body. The referee warns McGregor about a shot that is close to the back of the head. Mayweather steps into a nice jab to the body. Mayweather is clubbing down McGregor’s lead jab. McGregor lands a nice left jab and eats a jab to the body. Mayweather
