Justin Gatlin ruined Usain Bolt's big night by romping home to 100m gold at the London Stadium.
Jamaican megastar Bolt made his farewell from athletics at the World Championships but it wasn't the fairy tale exit he had been hoping for.
Instead, former drugs cheat Gatlin beat him in a time of 9.92seconds.
The American played party pooper with a stunning run as he led from start to finish.
Bolt successor Christian Coleman came home with a silver medal.
Eight-time Olympic champion Bolt will retire from athletics after next weekend's 4x100m relay, with the 100m final his last individual global race.
Brit star Reece Rescod finished seventh.
